Fundraising Momentum: Projects Moving Closer to Completion
We are excited to share encouraging progress from Durable Solutions Congo’s fundraising efforts. Donors, churches, and partner organizations are helping move practical healthcare, education, infrastructure, and community projects closer to completion across the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Mayamba Roof Is Fully Funded
The campaign to replace the roof at Mayamba Health Center has received $8,000, exceeding its original $7,000 goal. This support will help restore a secure, usable environment for patients and staff while protecting medical equipment and interior spaces from rain damage.
Our heartfelt thanks go to First Presbyterian Church of Knoxville and North Decatur Presbyterian Church. Together, their generous support made it possible for this urgent project to become fully funded.
Rev. Jacky’s Palm Oil Press Is Fully Funded
The campaign for a palm oil press supporting Rev. Jacky’s benevolence work has received $2,000, fully meeting the project’s fundraising goal. The press will help expand soap production and generate sustainable income to assist patients, students, and families experiencing hardship within the IMCK community.
We are deeply grateful to the Church at Country Pines and a generous individual donor whose support made this project possible.
Supporting Medical Outreach Transportation
A generous $4,800 contribution has been received toward a four-wheel-drive vehicle for medical outreach. Reliable transportation is essential for reaching remote communities, delivering supplies, visiting health facilities, and supporting church and community programs across difficult terrain.
We sincerely thank Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church for giving this important transportation campaign such a strong start.
More Efficient Lighting for IMCK
The Energy-Efficient LED Lighting for IMCK campaign has received $1,500. Replacing older fluorescent fixtures with LED lighting will reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs while creating brighter, safer spaces for patients, students, medical workers, and administrators.
We are grateful to the generous donor who fully funded this practical and meaningful improvement.
Computers for Medical Training
The campaign for computers for medical training at UPRECO has received $501. These computers will give students and faculty greater access to research, digital educational materials, and the technology needed for modern professional training.
We gratefully acknowledge the individual donors whose contributions helped launch this campaign and move it toward its goal.
Flexible Support Where It Is Needed Most
Durable Solutions Congo has received $1,000 in undesignated support. Flexible gifts are especially valuable because they allow the organization to respond to urgent needs, strengthen project coordination, and assist campaigns that require additional support.
We sincerely thank the generous supporter who entrusted Durable Solutions Congo to direct this gift where it can make the greatest difference.
Every Gift Moves a Project Forward
Some projects are completed through one major contribution, while others grow through many smaller gifts. Every donation helps transform a clearly identified need into a practical solution.
Thank you to every individual, church, and organization that has donated, shared a campaign, introduced Durable Solutions Congo to a congregation, or helped strengthen these partnerships. Individual donors are acknowledged by name only with their permission.
Together, we are equipping health facilities, supporting education, strengthening local institutions, and investing in solutions designed to last.
