Introducing the New Durable Solutions Website and Blog
Durable Solutions is excited to launch our new website and blog — a dedicated space to share the work, partnerships, and stories behind our mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Our work is rooted in a simple belief: lasting change begins with practical, community-centered solutions. Across water and sanitation, solar energy, cookstoves, agroforestry, and local infrastructure, Durable Solutions works alongside communities to design and implement solutions that respond to real needs and create long-term impact.
A New Home for Our Work

Water and sanitation
Improving access to safe water and dignified sanitation through practical, sustainable systems.

Each section highlights the importance of locally appropriate solutions — approaches that are not only technically sound, but also realistic, maintainable, and designed with communities in mind.
Why We Started a Blog
Our new blog will allow us to go deeper.
Through regular posts, we will share updates from the field, stories from the people we work with, partner highlights, project milestones, and reflections on the challenges and opportunities of building durable solutions in complex environments.
The blog will also give us space to explain why this work matters. Behind every water system, solar installation, cookstove, or agroforestry project is a larger story about health, dignity, resilience, and opportunity.
We want this blog to be more than a news page. We want it to become a place where people can better understand the realities communities are facing — and the practical solutions that can help create lasting change.
